Bio for Marshall Hartman
Marshall Hartman filed an amicus brief in the Furman cases in the
U.S. Supreme Court in his capacity as National Director of Defender
Services for NLADA. Since then he has Executive Director of the
Criminal Defense Consortium of Cook County, Chief Public Defender of
Lake County, Illinois, Deputy in Charge of the Capital Litigation
Division of the State Appellate Defender, Visiting Professor in
Criminal Justice, UIC, and currently Adjunct Professor at IIT Chicago
Kent College of Law. He is also Past President of the National Equal
Justice LIbrary in Washington, D.C. Read more at
